**CANCELLED** Woman Suffrage Lecture with Historian Kimberly Jensen
The Stayton Public Library is excited to welcome historian Kimberly Jensen to speak on Women’s Suffrage on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 7:00 pm in the E. G. Siegmund Meeting Room. There will be a reception accompanying the event.
The focus of the evening’s presentation will be on diverse women in the Oregon suffrage movement.
Kimberly Jensen is Professor of History and Gender Studies at Western Oregon University. She is the author of Mobilizing Minerva: American Women in the First World War (University of Illinois Press, 2008) and Oregon’s Doctor to the World: Esther Pohl Lovejoy and a Life in Activism (University of Washington Press, 2012). Her current book project is a study of women, citizenship, and civil liberties in the early twentieth century. She is a board member of the Oregon Women’s History Consortium.
